Octo-Fist Monkey's Fist from Jarhead Paracord

Why have just 1 or even 2 balls when you can have 8? The original concept for this keychain was a cat-o-mine-tails. Why 8 and not 9? well, it has to do with symmetry and weave into the handle. Appearance is important but it doesn't override function. Each of the 8 strands start out with roughly 16' of paracord...that's 128' of paracord in total.  The one lead monkey's fist immediately transition into a 8 strand crown sinnet. The knot is finished off a with diamond knot to give a firm hand stop and the closure can be a trigger clip, panic snap, u-shackle, or s-biner. The pictured Octo-Fist is a trigger clip.

                                                                      Paracord Motorcycle Get Back Whips

The modern day “motorcyclists” are the “cowboys” of the past, having traded in their horses for ones forged out of metal. A lot has changed but the core fundamentals remain the same. Riders wearing leather chaps ride on leather saddles. Hands firmly grasp the handle bars with throttle, clutch, & brake cables in place of the reins that controlled the horse. Gear is securely cinched down on the bike or placed in saddle bags, ready to hit the open road. We each put a great deal of time and money into making our motorcycles are own. Here's  you chance to own and original Jarhead Paracord creation.

My Jarhead Paracord motorcycle “Get Back Whips” are designed after the ropes used to tie up the horse. Tying up a horse that doesn’t want to be confined can be a dangerous thing; especially if the horse breaks free, this is represented by the frayed ends at the bottom of the whip. Just above the fray is a 1 1/16" steel ball/bearing wrapped in a monkeys fist knot. The horse tack panic snap makes this whip readily accessible for those “Get Back” situations. Let your iron horse ride free and let one of these whips fly on your clutch and/or break lever. My whips are custom made pieces uniquely weaved by hand for each customer with genuine American made 550 paracord. Designs & patterns may be similar but no two are exactly alike. The process starts with 60’- 80'+ of paracord and ends with a custom made work of art. In the event of an emergency you can undue the the knots on the whip and have plenty of paracord available. As these are custom made please allow up to 12-14 weeks for shipping after purchase. Processing time is a direct result of demand and may increase during the riding season. It has increased due to COVID. Orders have really taken off which is a good thing for me but its taking longer to get them out. Your order may ship faster but I need this time to cover the fact that I don't control when the orders come in. These are not stocked items that I'm pulling off the shelf and finishing the length.  Once your order is confirmed I will let you know when to expect your whip. You can also reach out to me via email before placing your order or visit my facebook page to see the current processing time. All orders are shipped Priority Mail via the USPS. Tracking information will be provided once obtained.

I have or can get most primary and popular colors. If your color is specific or uncommon, please contact me first for a digital color sample. If you are matching club or motorcycle colors you can have color samples mailed to you for $ 2.00 per base color.

How many times have you had a bag, briefcase, or purse sitting on the seat next to you only to have it fly to the floor when you stop suddenly? Well that won't be a problem any longer. This strap goes around the post of the headrest (headrest must be removed to insert the pole through the loop) and can be finished with a solid ring or a trigger snap. Pictured is a solid ring which will them have a separate trigger snap that attaches to the purse or briefcase with a cow hitch knot. The holder is small enough that it doesn't bother the passenger when you have one and it can be rotated out of the way.  Standard colors are available to match or highlight any interior.

History of the Monkey’s Fist
A monkey's fist or monkey paw is a type of knot, so named because it looks somewhat like a small bunched fist/paw. It is tied at the end of a rope to serve as a weight, making it easier to throw, and also as an ornamental knot. This type of weighted rope can be used as a hand-to-hand weapon, called a slungshot by sailors. It was also used in the past as an anchor in rock climbing, by stuffing it into a crack, but this is obsolete and dangerous. The monkey's fist knot is most often used as the weight in a heaving line. The line would have the monkey's fist on one end, an eye splice or bowline on the other, with about 30 feet of line between. A lightweight feeder line would be tied to the bowline, then the weighted monkey's fist could be hurled between ship and dock. The other end of the lightweight line would be attached to a heaver-weight line, allowing it to be drawn to the target easily. The knot is usually tied around a small weight, such as a stone, marble, tight fold of paper, or a piece of wood. A thicker line will require a larger object in the center to hold the shape of the knot. Another variation of the monkey's fist knot omits the use of an internal object as a weight and rather uses the spare end which gets tucked back into the knot. This results in a nicer looking knot of a lesser weight, minimizing the potential d anger of hurting someone with the knot when hauling line. Monkey's fists were also commonly used as melee weapons by sailors embroiled in street and tavern fights during the 19th century and the use of the monkey's fist as a slungshot became common in the street gang subcultures of the 19th century.
